Weekly Marketing & Business Round Up / Recap 7/4-7/11

Another week in the books.. This is the weekly roundup where I summarize things that I’ve posted as well as blog posts, or other pieces of content that I’ve read and found useful or think you all will find useful.

I started this week off with a blog post on why guest blogging is STILL a viable technique for not just traffic generation but SEO and link building. For some reason, people seem to have discredited the power it has, because of some misinterpretations. I explain why it still has a lot of benefits.

The next post is one that will ruffle some feathers. It was shared quite a bit inside Facebook groups, but I don’t know which groups. For all I know they could be making fun of my stance…. but I talked about and reviewed in detail the inevitable decline of the Warrior Forum. Would love to hear your comments and thoughts on the matter!

I was a little short on time one day, and when I’m short on time, what better way to sneak a post in by using a Gary Vaynerchuk video? It’s actually a really good interview of him with The Blaze (one of my favorite news outlets). Unfortunately, his Jab Jab Jab Right Hook book didn’t make the top 8 of one of my other post about books every business owner should read.

One of my favorite posts this week though, was the 7 things your customers care about more than price. If you don’t read anything else this week, please make sure to read this one!

And… to end the week, I posted my lead generation tip of the week, using cold emailing to generate leads. It was just to give a few tips, pointers and insights. To get ALLLLL the good stuff, you just have to buy Ice Cold Email Gold.

Well moving away from my content, to other content I took a look at this week, I realize how little content I really consumed.

One blog post I spent a lot of time reading was from Glen over at Viper Chill. This blog post wasn’t new, in fact, it’s like 3+ years old but I still found it very useful, and it’s made me question a few things about the direction I’m taking. Anyway, the blog post is about the “Future of Blogging”.

I’m not even sure why I found this site, but it seems interesting. Not sure how I found it either. Check it out, SuperHeroYou, it talks about money, success, motivation, and lots of other things.

Authority Hacker, which featured me a couple months ago as one of the top bloggers, posted an awesome article on affiliate marketing. I’ve found it useful and will probably reread in the next few days.
