Hi Nathan
Thinking about buying this (with your link of course), I live in the UK.
I understand from reading previous WF posts that it doesn’t provide email addresses for Yellowpages (which is vital for my business),
is this still the case?
Thanks.
Hey John. I’ve heard from some people in my skype group that yellowpages UK doesn’t provide many emails. I would assume you would need the email digger plugin for the UK but at that point, I’m not sure it would catch enough emails to be worth it. The facebook plugin, on the other hand is very good at collecting emails, but that really drives the price up.
If you’re wanting to focus more on emails than anything else, I would have to unfortunately recommend that you hold off on buying it until there’s a commitment to improve email harvesting in the UK. Unless you purchased the FB plugin, it wouldn’t be worth it… and even with the FB plugin, there may be other alternatives out there that are cheaper.
Hey Nathan, thanks for your honest reply, I will hold off for the moment then on the strength of what you have said.
I have bought both your great courses…and really need to get things moving now….and was hoping this would help.
Regards
John
Thanks John! In the next couple days I’m going to test out MR with facebook for the UK. A few other people have been asking, and I definitely don’t want to recommend it unless I know for a fact they’ll get some use from it!
Is your plan to do a lot of email marketing? Or will you also be using other methods with it?
I’ll lookforward to that with interest.
I plan to do email marketing to offer consultancy for copywriting mainly…but mixed with cold calling.
Thats the plan anyway 🙂
Do you have a specific niche you are wanting to target John? Let me know, I’ll test it out with one of those niches and send you the results.
Ok…actually can I pm you on this please Nathan?
Hi Nathan,
I was just wondering if you have managed to do some UK testing for MR? I’m interested in purchasing but not sure whether it’s the right fit for the UK market. I’m looking to offer web design for small and startup businesses in the South West UK. Thanks in advance!
Hey Geoff, from what I have seen for UK users, is that if you’re wanting general business data you will be okay. However, if you want to start harvesting emails, you will need the facebook plugin for MR.
Thanks for the quick response. Its mainly companies phone numbers and whether they do / do not have a website that I’m after, would those details be covered do you know?
Yeah, those would be covered… and if you were to use the FB plugin, emails and all other information would be covered as well. Last I heard Rick was considering making FB part of the core product. I may do some prying and find out if that’s still the plan or not.. no point in buying the FB plugin if its going to be part of the core in a couple weeks.
Cool, thanks!
